Road Safety Enforcement

Today, officers conducted mobile speed enforcement within Bridgnorth as part of our ongoing commitment to keeping local roads safe.

Within just one hour, 4 speeding offences in access of 65MPH were identified and dealt with.

Speed limits are not targets – they are there to protect all road users. Excessive speed significantly increases stopping distances, reduces reaction times, and can contribute to serious or fatal collisions.

We continue to receive regular concerns and complaints from members of the public regarding both speeding vehicles and anti-social driving in the area. In response, there will be an increase in mobile speed enforcement activity and targeted patrols as part of our ongoing campaign to tackle anti-social driving behaviour.

We would like to thank the vast majority of motorists who drive responsibly and within the law. For those who continue to ignore speed limits and drive in an anti-social manner, enforcement action will be taken.
